Fantastic book for word lovers

This is THE book to have if you love English. There are wonderful examples of each word included. It's nice little size make it easy to take with you. The only reason it didn't get five stars from me is that it lacks the pronunciation of each word. Some you can guess, others, well, you better have a good dictionary on hand!

Great book, but...

Ok great book, great man, incredible and renowned command of the English language, but what in the WORLD was he thinking by not adding the PRONUNCIATIONS????? GROAN. Terrible oversight. Almost hard to believe this could be overlooked. This book would have been a BIBLE of sorts to me if it showed pronunciations. Now I am forced to go look up the pronunciation every time I find a new word I like. Sigh.

This book will grow your business fast.

Full of fresh money-making methods, not dinosaur-age, old ideas that you've heard a million times. Yes, it is possible today to become a millionaire in this industry with the techniques in this book. I like reading networking books, but they usually preach tired, old techniques that make the reader work extremely hard and look and sound like a geek when he tries them out. Nothing tired in this book -- just exactly what works today -- the stuff Wes and his students are cashing in on to make ridiculous money. Thank you Wes for making this book and taking the work out of network marketing.

In an industry that is notorious for the high rate of "failure" and only the "few" that really make the big$$$, Wes is able to tell the truth in a simple, elegant and humble manner. There is no "secret sauce" that so many run around and look for. Yes, the industry has changed over the years as have most others and Wes tells it like it is. A must read for the serious about having fun while working from home and generating an income not just sufficient to survive on but to thrive on. Most certainly a page turner!!

Incredible content! While most people have a misconception that network marketing does not work, Wes Melcher proves them wrong. People fail because they make it like a job or work. Wes does an amazing job on teaching how to make keep it simple! His information on social media is phenomenal and will help me better my business. All in all, not only does it show how an average person can win, but how an experienced network marketer can take their business to a whole other level! I'd recommend this book to anyone period! Anthropological research results on Grameen Bank lending to women presented in this book, however, illuminates the link between the success of the bank and debt-cycling of borrowers. The priority of earning profits to insure institutional economic viability caused Bank employees at the grassroots level to emphasize increasing the number of loans disbursed and loan recovery. By using the joint liability model of lending, the Bank workers and borrowing peers impose intense pressure on clients for timely repayment. Many borrowers maintain their regular payment schedules, but do so through a process of loan recycling (that is, pay off previous loans with new ones) that considerably increases borrower debt liability. The debt burdens on individual households in turn increase tension and anxiety among household members and produce unintended consequences for many clients.This book examines women borrowers’ involvement with the microcredit program of the Grameen Bank, and the grassroots lending structure of the bank; it illustrates the implications of Grameen lending for the borrowers, their household members and bank workers. The focus of the study is on the processes of village-level microcredit operation; it addresses the realities of the day-to-day lives of women borrowers and bank workers and explains informant strategies for involving themselves in this microcredit scheme. The study is on the power dynamics of everyday lives of informants as they affect women borrowers’ relationships within the household and the loan centers, and bank worker relationships within the loan center and the bank.

About the Author
Aminur Rahman was born and raised in Bangladesh. He has a Master’s Degree in Sociology (University of Dhaka, Bangladesh), M.Phil in Social Anthropology (University of Oslo, Norway), and Ph.D. in Anthropology (University of Manitoba, Canada). Before going abroad for higher studies, Rahman worked for several years with national and international NGOs in Bangladesh in community development projects. He also taught at the University of Manitoba and has published in many international journals, including World Development. Rahman is currently working with the Small Enterprise Program of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa, Canada.

Very helpful.

This excellent book breaks down all phases of the jumps, ie: long jump, high jump, triple jump, and pole vault. The book discusses the science and technique of many successful jumpers throughout the world and breaks down each phase of the jump. There is also great training and conditioning information as well.

An excellent jumping traing book;thourough, clear, helpful.

I was happily suprised by this book. I'm used to seeing general track and field books or "specialized" books that are nothing of the sort. This book, however, is wonderful. It covers all aspects of the long, triple, high and pole vault jumping events, form the first training day to the approach to the landing to the last day of season. In fact, it gives a comprehensive training plan for the whole year. Plus, "The Complete Book of Jumps" gives really good, clear explanation, complete with illustrations, of each of the jumps. It's definitely worth the money and the read, even for half the information it has!

TJ and LJ were my specialties in high school and college, and I have been an avid technical student of the TJ and LJ events for over 20 years, as both an athlete and a coach. The Complete Book of Jumps is a book that I wish I would have found long ago. It's far and away the best text I've found on the subject of jumps.
