Principle--gradual increases in Frequency, Intensity, and Time. Each day includes a prescribed lap distance, skills practice, W.E.T. (Water Exercise Technique) drills, warm-ups, and cool-downs. Katz has narrowed the scope of her Swimming for Total Fitness ( LJ 3/15/81) and honed in on just those "swim tips" and analyses of problems that will be useful to people who already know how to swim but would like to improve.
